Jill Stuart's collection for Spring 2009, presented at New York's Fashion Week, was filled with fluterry chiffon dresses, boyfriend jackets, harem pants, and loose and long cardigans. The collection could be said to have been derived from the world of the ballerina, as her light weight chiffon fabrics, pastel colors, and her use of various pieces of fabrics knotted around the ankles and wrists, stylistically appear as if they were made for a dancer. Stuart's ballerina aesthetic remains to be one of my favorite RTW collections for Spring 2009. These are some of my favorites:
